<dc:description>This report documents the program and the outcomes of the Dagstuhl Seminar 11172 ``Artificial Immune Systems''. The purpose of the seminar was to bring together researchers from the areas of immune-inspired computing, theoretical computer science, randomised search heuristics, engineering, swarm intelligence and computational immunology in a highly interdisciplinary seminar to discuss two main issues: first, how to best develop a more rigorous theoretical framework for algorithms inspired by the immune system and second, to discuss suitable application areas for immune-inspired systems and how best to exploit the properties of those algorithms.</dc:description>
