Constraint programming and optimization have recently received considerable attention from the fields of machine learning and data mining; similarly, machine learning and data mining have received considerable attention from the fields of constraint programming and optimization. The goal of the seminar was to showcase recent progress in these different areas, with the objective of working towards a common basis of understanding, which should help to facilitate future synergies.
