Large Language Models: Compilers for the 4^{th} Generation of Programming Languages? (Short Paper)

Abstract
This paper explores the possibility of large language models as a fourth generation programming language compiler. This is based on the idea that large language models are able to translate a natural language specification into a program written in a particular programming language. In other words, just as high-level languages provided an additional language abstraction to assembly code, large language models can provide an additional language abstraction to high-level languages. This interpretation allows large language models to be thought of through the lens of compiler theory, leading to insightful conclusions.

Predicting Performance Problems Through Emotional Analysis (Short Paper)

Abstract
In the cartoons, every time a character is nervous he/she begins to count to ten to keep calm. This is a technique, among hundreds, that helps to control the emotional state. However, what would be the impact if the emotions would not be controlled? Are the emotions important in terms of impairing the ability to perform tasks correctly? Using a case study of typing text, this paper is about a process to predict the number of writing errors from a person based on the emotional state and some characteristics of the writing process. Using preprocessing techniques, lexicon-based approaches and machine learning, we achieved a percentage of 80% of correct values, when considering the emotional profile on the writing style.

Profile Detection Through Source Code Static Analysis

Abstract
The present article reflects the progress of an ongoing master's dissertation on language engineering. The main goal of the work here described, is to infer a programmer's profile through the analysis of his source code. After such analysis the programmer shall be placed on a scale that characterizes him on his language abilities. There are several potential applications for such profiling, namely, the evaluation of a programmer's skills and proficiency on a given language or the continuous evaluation of a student's progress on a programming course. Throughout the course of this project and as a proof of concept, a tool that allows the automatic profiling of a Java programmer is under development. This tool is also introduced in the paper and its preliminary outcomes are discussed.

Representing Temporal Patterns in Computer-Interpretable Clinical Guidelines

Abstract
Computer-Interpretable Guidelines (CIGs) as machine-readable versions of clinical protocols have to provide appropriate constructs for the representation of different aspects of medical knowledge, namely administrative information, workflows of procedures, clinical constraints and temporal constraints. This work focuses on the latter, by aiming to develop a comprehensive representation of temporal constraints for machine readable formats of clinical protocols and provide a proper execution engine that deals with different time patterns and constraints placed on them. A model for the representation of time is presented for the CompGuide ontology in Ontology Web language (OWL) along with a comparison with the available formalisms in this field.
