Abstract
This seminar report contains the motivation, abstracts, and findings of Dagstuhl Seminar 19261 Distributed Computing with Permissioned Blockchains and Databases which took place in late June 2019. It brought together a very good mix of people from academia and industry as well as from databases and related areas for which blockchain is a current topic and who are either users or developers in that field.

Abstract
This is the manifesto of Dagstuhl Perspectives Workshop 12182 on a multi-discipline perspective on networks. The information society is shaped by an increasing presence of networks in various manifestations, most notably computer networks, supply-chain networks, and social networks, but also business networks, administrative networks, or political networks. Online networks nowadays connect people all around the world at day and night, and allow to communicate and to work collaboratively and efficiently. What has been a commodity in the private as well as in the enterprise sectors independently for quite some time now is currently growing together at an increasing pace. As a consequence, the time has come for the relevant sciences, including computer science, information systems, social sciences, economics, communication sciences, and others, to give up their traditional "silo-style" thinking and enter into borderless dialogue and interaction. The purpose of this Manifesto is to review where we stand today, and to outline directions in which we urgently need to move, in terms of both research and teaching, but also in terms of funding.

Abstract

This report summarizes the discussions of the workshop and their findings.

Data Warehousing: from Occasional OLAP to Real-time Business Intelligence (Dagstuhl Seminar 11361)

Abstract
This report documents the outcomes of the Dagstuhl Seminar 11361 "Data Warehousing: from Occasional OLAP to Real-time Business Intelligence". In the past, data warehousing and analytical processing (OLAP) have produced fundamental and important technologies for the design, management, and use of information systems for decision support. Indeed, many industrial and administrative organizations have successfully used data warehouses to collect essential indicators that help them improve their business processes and their decision making efforts. Recent developments like column stores instead of row stores at the physical level, real-time data warehousing and Business Intelligence applications at the conceptual level, and decision support for new emerging applications have raised new research questions. This seminar has focused on the following five main topics: (i) Real-Time Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence, (ii) Spatio-Temporal Data Warehousing, (iii) Situational Business Intelligence, (iv) Query Processing in Data Warehouses, and (v) Knowledge Extraction and Management in Data Warehouses. These topics were discussed in parallel groups and each group identified open research issues and new challenges.

08393 Manifest – The Role of Law in an Electronic World Dominated by Web 2.0

Abstract
Recently, almost everything seems to have become "2.0", be it music, gadgets, health, entertainment, business, Silicon Valley, countries such as India, the family, and, most notably, the Web. 10GB of "user-generated content" is created in the World-Wide Web daily (see Ramakrishnan and Tomkins, 2007), that is, more than five times the amount of content created by professional Web editors. Web 2.0 has rapidly become a label that everybody using the Internet and doing business through it seems to be able to relate to; what it primarily stands for is the transition of the Web from a medium where people just read information to a medium where people both read and write; in other words, the Web meanwhile heavily benefits from user contributions and user-generated content (UGC) in a variety of media forms. This has been enabled by technological advances that nowadays make it possible for users to easily employ services offered on the Web and to embark on tasks that have previously been reserved for specialists.
